Waheed Baber, instructed by SKR Legal Solicitors and led by Adrian Langdale QC, secured an acquittal for his client, Daniella Hill, following a 21-day Murder trial at Leicester Crown Court.

McDonagh & Hill were on trial for Murder and an additional charge of possessing an offensive weapon, following the fatal stabbing of Mr Abbas in Braunstone Gate in August of last year. The Court heard during the trial how Hill had confiscated a knife from the co-defendant earlier in the night, which he forcibly retrieved in the lead up to the Murder.

The jury returned with Not Guilty verdict for Hill and Guilty for McDonagh on the Murder charge.
