Zahra Khan Awarded Tenancy at Kenworthy’s Chambers
Kenworthy’s Chambers is delighted to announce that Zahra Khan has successfully completed her pupillage and has been awarded full tenancy. Zahra’s will begin her tenancy on the 2nd of September 2025, specialising in both Criminal Law and Family and Finance, strengthening two of our busiest and most respected teams.
Practice Manager Maria Rushworth said: “We are thrilled to offer Zahra Khan tenancy at Kenworthy’s Chambers. Throughout her pupillage, Zahra demonstrated a strong work ethic, sound legal analysis, and an impressive ability to connect with clients. She brings both passion and professionalism to her work and will make a valuable addition to our team.”
Zahra Khan reflected on completing the second six of her pupillage, saying, “I am thankful to Kenworthy’s for voting me in as a full tenant and am excited to start accepting instructions in Family and Criminal Law.”
During her pupillage, Zahra Khan volunteered with The School’s Consent Project, completed Advocate’s Pro Bono Pupil Pledge, and participated in two training weekends with the Inns of Court College of Advocacy (ICCA) and the Youth Justice Legal Centre.
Prior to joining Kenworthy’s, Zahra gained first-hand experience in the criminal justice system as a Crown Court Clerk, where she observed proceedings in trials involving serious offences such as murder and domestic violence. She also contributed to a Criminal Case Review Commission application during her time as a Case Worker at the Freedom Law Clinic.
In Family Law, Zahra is set to represent parents and family members in both public and private law cases. Her experience includes extensive marshalling and mini-pupillages, along with voluntary work that has honed her ability to communicate with vulnerable individuals, including refugees, the homeless, and individuals from youth groups and residential care homes.
Zahra is a dedicated advocate with academic credentials that match her practical experience. She gained a Distinction in an LLM Master of Laws and in the Bar Training Course, both from Manchester Metropolitan University, as well as an LLB Bachelor of Laws from Newcastle University.
Kenworthy’s Chambers is proud to support Zahra’s continued development and is excited to see the positive impact she will make in both Criminal and Family Law practice. We wish Zahra a happy and successful future with Kenworthy’s.
